Top 10 Non-D&D TTRPGs

ree

Roleplaying as medieval-core heros who slay monsters and save the world is objectively fun. I have had some incredibly fun moments playing D&D with my friends, but sometimes I want to tell stories with different themes. What if I don't want to be the hero, but rather a regular joe who happens upon an elder god whose mystical knowledge of the cosmos causes me to slowly go mad? What if that game with my friends felt less like a Marvel movie and more like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre? There are other TTRPG systems out there that can accommodate different genres of storytelling!

Here's my personal top 10:

  1. Mothership

  2. Call of Cthulhu

  3. Vampire: The Masquerade

  4. Thirsty Sword Lesbians

  5. Fiasco

  6. Horse Girl

  7. Ten Candles

  8. CyberPunk RED

  9. Star Wars

  10. Daggerheart
